We were commissioned to thoroughly overhaul and remodel this apartment, a top floor of a grand detached Victorian villa.

Very poor existing condition of the apartment required a complete strip and removal of all fittings and finishes, down to the structure. The existing building fabric was restored and upgraded, new soundproofing was fitted to ceilings and floors, new underfloor heating, water and lighting systems were installed, old windows and sliding terrace doors were replaced.

We have designed a new layout for the apartment, improving its functionality and appearance. New bathrooms, kitchen and wardrobes joinery was designed for bespoke construction by specialist joiners and stone masons. Our interior design proposed a muted palette of natural finishing materials of matching smoked oak for floors, doors and furniture, walnut and Carrara marble for bathrooms and dark-grey lacquer with black granite for the kitchen. This consistent application of matching finishing materials throughout the many elements in the apartment created strong character and calm ambience required.
